HEALTH LIFESTYLE...........ITS LATER EFFECT ON OUR GENERATION

Healthy living is definitely affected by the latest trends and by what doctors, nutritionists and trainers think is best for you.

HERE ARE SOME LIFESTYLES THAT THREATEN OUR GENERATION
 1. Proper nutrition- very few people in this country fail to eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables each day. This in turn increases calorie intake and thus increases number of people living with obesity, heart diseases, kidney diseases, cancer.

2.Physical activity-Inactivity increases the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, diabetes, arthritis, and obesity.Despite the numerous health benefits of physical activity a lot of us do not engage in any type of physical activity.Research studies have linked from 14 percent to 23 percent of deaths from major chronic diseases to sedentary lifestyles.

3.Smoking-Smoking is more common among people who live below the poverty level than above.Cigarette smoking is the leading preventable cause of death.Smoking is the major cause of lung and esophageal cancer. Men who smoke cut their lives short by 13.2 years, and women by 14.5 years.

4.Alcohol -.A lot of people abuse alcohol or are alcoholic.Alcohol abuse is highest among adults aged 18-29 and lowest among older adults. The risk for developing alcoholism runs in families. Researchers are working to identify the genes responsible for this risk. Social factors, stress, and availability of alcohol contribute to the risk factor.Several medications are used to treat alcoholism, but no single drug works for every person.Women become more impaired than men do by drinking the same amount of alcohol, even when the differences in body weight are taken into account. Also, alcohol dependence and related problems such as brain, heart, and liver damage progress more rapidly in women than in men.Older adult are at a higher risk for falls, car crashes, and other injuries that may result from drinking due to slower reaction times, problems with hearing and vision, and a lower tolerance to the effects of alcohol.

These are just a few of the type of lifestyles that plague our generation today. A lot of us do not care about tomorrow we only care about being young and living life to the fullest and that is the reason young people just slump and die mysteriously these days.
    - Frequent routine medical checkup
    - Daily physical activity and adequate diet
    - No smoking and no alcohol intake,or at least reduced alcohol intake

IT IS TRUE THAT PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS DIE OF DIFFERENT DISEASES BUT LET US TAKE PREVENTIVE MEASURES IF NOT, GRAND PARENTS WILL BE A RARE THING IN THE NEXT GENERATION.
